Tonight I snagged a 5800x3d... Thought I was going to have some fun. When removing my aio, my 5600 stuck to the cooler (despite my PC being on for 15 plus minutes, granted only at desktop). Anyways, I was only mildly concerned. </p> <p>Popped in the 5800x3d, hooked everything up and nothing. No lights, no fans, nothing. Confused, I pulled off the cooler and of course the 5800x3d was stuck, but not bad. At some point in my reseating attempt, I noticed I had bent to pins. A razor blade for those looking great (pretty slight bend) but still no luck. </p> <p>I then put my 5600 back in the board, and now I get fans, but no display, and a dram light. Reseated ram, cleared cmos (throughout this process a few different times) and no luck. So now neither CPU will get past post, stuck on dram. I&#39;m lost here. I&#39;m wondering if I damaged my mb socket though my stupidity? Or maybe my ram got messed up when messing with my aio? Prior to all of this, I had updated bios to the latest, with 5800x3d support, and no luck. Anything else I can try before throwing money at this thing?</p> <p>Also, tried the 5800x3d again, same problem. Over the years I kind of stopped paying attention to tech like this so I don&#39;t know what&#39;s good anymore, but if I recall correctly it&#39;s best I get an M.2 SSD? Most my storage is taken up by games but I also use other applications like Adobe software. I get around 200-300fps when I&#39;m playing Valorant and no gunplay is happening. But as soon as there are other players on the screen, my fps drops between 100-200fps. I would ideally like to be much higher where the dips go no less than 300fps.<br/> I don&#39;t know if it matters, but I play Valorant on my ASUS 24in 1080p 240hz monitor on full screen, and have my secondary AOC 27in 1440p monitor with my spotify/discord/browser/twitch open.<br/> Willing to upgrade my computer, if necessary. I&#39;m suspecting that my GPU will probably be my best guess that needs replacing. Willing to spend up to $500 for one if that is justifiable. Otherwise, would prefer to stay in the $300-$400 range.
