I was approached by a close friend in need of an Arduino setup. I'm a programmer, but the hardware and this GPIO stuff is a little confusing since I've never touched it before. The gist is this: Using an Arduino, the user wants to control a small lift that already has a control pad (so we can hijack the up and down buttons using a relay of some sort). They want to be able to use up and down buttons to change 2 variables that show on a small display and those variables control how long the platform stays in the up position, and the other is how many times the platform goes up and down. I've compiled a small outline below. any help is appreciated and I'll answer any questions.

Goal

Allow a provided platform to be raised and lowered with specified, variable pauses at apogee for a specified, variable number of cycles at a specified, static height.

Variables

Repetitions

Delay

Buttons

Repetition up

Repetition down

Delay up

Delay down

E-Stop

Start

Output

Relay-platform up

Relay-platform down

Display-Cycles remaining

Display-Delay

   submitted by    /u/BigDaddy850
[link]   [comments]

Beginner here... need a parts list

Hi there, I was going to make a project in which I'm using an electromagnet. Previously when i encountered with this error(previous projects) usually the TX would been communicating through serial monitor, so i couldn't upload the sketch, and would get the same above error. As a solution to that i would release the reset button as soon as i click the "upload sketch" and it worked!. But this time as was using an 10uf capacitor to stop arduino from resetting, there was no point in pressing the reset button. I also tried to upload a simple blink sketch before burning bootloader, so that the Tx remained off. But still the problem persists. I have never done this before and new to this.

arduino UNO, IDE version 2.0.3.

avrdude: stk500_getsync() attempt 9 of 10: not in sync: resp=0x03

avrdude: stk500_recv(): programmer is not responding

avrdude: stk500_getsync() attempt 10 of 10: not in sync: resp=0x03

Failed chip erase: uploading error: exit status 1

SOLUTION: for some unknown reasons there seems to be problem with onboard compiler/assembler, the sketch's are uploaded after i release the reset button(not too soon, not too late), i forget to upload the arduino as ISP sketch before uploading the bootloader,( dumb me taught selecting "programmer" as ISP was enough) bur then again the board didn't accept isp sketch, used the reset method. Then made the connections once again and selected sketch>upload using programmer option. and DONE!.

   submitted by    /u/Chathen
[link]   [comments]

Using arduino(UNO) as ISP(for attiny) getting errors, programmer not responding and not in sync

Hi all.

This is my first time making a project like this. I have made software's for games like battleship, whack-a-mole but not something like this.

So I am making a door lock for my school project. I am in my 2nd year of Engineering and the picture is what I want to make. I am having trouble in getting the box. I was thinking of just getting a plastic box and then making holes so that the lock part is seen going up and down and then some wires coming out to the keypad. This is one option.

The other option is to get a 3D printer. Personally for me that is expensive as I don't have it. However, my data is always a constant (recording at approx 300) with no change for muscle contraction. Looking at other online videos, the values seem to 'normally' jump dramatically from 60 to over 100.

My code is incredibly basic;

define SENSOR_PIN 1

// Integer for sensor value

int sensorValue;

void setup() {

// Set up serial port

Serial.begin(9600);

}

void loop() {

// Read sensor value

sensorValue = analogRead(SENSOR_PIN);

// Print value to Serial Monitor

Serial.println(sensorValue); }

My circuit is also very basic (image in the comments).

I have also tried the same code and circuit with an AD8232 ECG board with similar results.

What the hell am I doing wrong? ANY help or advice is appreciated!

Links to tutorials I have referenced as 'normal':

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1LjE07z5r7c

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wMVL3d2dN9U

   submitted by    /u/NeverAshamed
[link]   [comments]

I don't know what is going on - Why can't I read and record eMG data?

  submitted by    /u/iletredditpickone
[link]   [comments]

ESP Alternative for IOT projects?
