However, I wish to add it as a service so it runs automatically. I have tried a few methods found online, tried to wrap my head around the documentation but I haven&#39;t gotten it to work yet.</p> <p>Currently the file which I assume is supposed to be the MySQL service is located in <code>/etc/init.d/</code> . I am anti-software bloat at all costs (except reliability) While I have installed Gentoo properly in the past, I did cut corners a little bit (like using the binary package for the kernel, guix package manager for the desktop installation, etc). How can you make a kernel and exclude unnecessary modules? I currently run kernel 5.18.10-artix1-1 and have excluded kernel upgrades.
