Im working on an Angular app with TypeScript that uses an API written in Java. We use karma for the unit tests.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;It took a crazy amount of time to setup my dev environment due to lots of problems. Probably 30-40 hours total for three people working together. Two other people helped me with this.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Another developer on my team wants to make changes to the angular UI and Java API with out getting a dev environment set up where he can run the code. &lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;We have a Java web app he maintains successfully with out being able ti run the code. He makes changes, builds and deploys it to check data values in the browser with the dev tools.
