How to know if my laptop doesn't have a battery?

I sent my laptop for repairs since my battery was dead and I decided to just go with no battery so the repair guy said he will get it removed for me. I asked my friend to go and pick it up since I was busy. Now I just wanna make sure it's actually removed so is there any way to know?

It appears that AMD GPUs use the CPU less for DirectX12 games compared to Nvidia GPUs, leading to better performance when the CPU is a limiting factor:

desktop computer to net by Lan cable or Wifi ?

Recently I have my new computer and find out .

The main board is a Asus ROG B550-I mainboard , said to have wifi 6 and 2.5Gbit lan speed .

My router is a Asus RC-AT68U , according to its manual , it has wifi AC standard only , no wifi 6 The desktop computer is at my room and the router is placed in the living room , connect by a very very long Lan 6 cable . I guess it is about 2x feet .

I search on net and it has always been said a lan cable connection is always better than wifi connection . The problem is , I test it today , the result is very confusing . I repeatedly plug and unplug the lan cable and try to test at about same time .

The speed of lan cable connection seems always slower than by wifi connection ,

the result of several times test ,

by lan cable 150-190 Mbps average only ,

while by wifi the speed is 3xx Mbps ! almost faster than by using lan cable each time each test .

I believe the traffic condition should be simliar since I do the other test right after another type .

I feel confusing now and should I keep to connect to the internet by wifi from now on ? The 2x feet lan cable (it was a Cat 6c or ? I forgot but remember it is faster type I can buy at that moment ) .

I am not a PC gamer , so I guess the it should be a document computer most of the time . The only need of high speed is to download some videos by BT ,watch tv drama & youtube only .

Is the technology of wifi is faster lan connection now ? The main reason I really like to know is , I am going to move my home to another flat soon . At there , the lan cable will need to be much longer , expected to be 3x feet from the router to the desktop so should I just skip to install the long lan cable ?

Safe mode with RAID?

Running two M2 with a RAID. Needed to uninstall from safe mode once. Never could get there. Windows 11 would never prom me for drivers to see my drive. Just formatted and did a clean install.

So is there safe mode with RAID?

I have a very strange issue. Happens on all browsers. Certain web pages don't load properly.

looking for gaming pc

ill just start out by saying im just looking and dont plan on purchasing anything...

but i want to know what gaming pc's are good under $1,000... please if your going to say "i spent that on my gpu", good for you... im just a poor man trying to get a decent pc for cheap...

if you also have an idea for building one i am open for suggestions as i know theyre cheaper if you build them... but again im going to build it for no more than $1,000... i know some graphics cards dont fit some motherboards but i have no idea what matches what so you might have to dumb it down baby talk for me.

Power went out and after it came back my PC keeps starting to this screen. Choosing N lets me start up like normal but would choosing Y prevent this screen from coming up again or brick my PC?

I bought a dedicated gaming laptop to play videos games on. I have been reluctant to surf the net on this laptop for fear of it becoming slow and bogged down with cookies and whatnot.
