What do you all think?

"Absurdism is a philosophy and artistic movement that emphasizes the lack of meaning or purpose in human existence. It suggests that the universe is irrational, and that human attempts to find meaning or purpose in life are futile. Absurdism often highlights the senselessness of everyday life, and the disconnection between human desires and the reality of the world. It also points out that human beings are constantly searching for something that is not present.

In literature and art, absurdism is often portrayed through the use of dark humor and satire, as well as the use of characters who are trapped in meaningless or repetitive situations. In Theater of the Absurd, characters are usually unable to find a way out of their predicament and are doomed to repeat the same actions over and over again. This repetition serves to highlight the senselessness of their actions and the futility of their existence.

In philosophy, absurdism is often associated with existentialism, which also emphasizes the meaningless of human existence. However, while existentialism suggests that individuals must create their own meaning, absurdism claims that it is impossible to find any meaning in life. This idea is often reflected in the works of writers and philosophers such as Samuel Beckett, Albert Camus, and Martin Esslin.

Absurdism can be seen as a reflection of the existentialist view of the human condition, which highlights the meaninglessness of human existence and the sense of isolation that comes with it. It also points out that no matter how much we try, we cannot escape the ultimate truth that the universe is indifferent to our existence."

   submitted by /u/neospacebandit
[link] [comments]t3_10ejrje2023-01-17T18:40:33+00:002023-01-17T18:40:33+00:00"Define Absurdism" per ChatGPT/u/Cepheus2310https://www.reddit.com/user/Cepheus2310 submitted by /u/Cepheus2310
[link] [comments]t3_10e9okx2023-01-17T11:09:19+00:002023-01-17T11:09:19+00:00Considering how well this line is at par with "The Myth of Sisyphus" and Camus' gesture in the picture, decided to generate this lyrics card/u/Educational_Ad_3757https://www.reddit.com/user/Educational_Ad_3757 submitted by /u/Educational_Ad_3757
[link] [comments]t3_10e7mww2023-01-17T09:03:12+00:002023-01-17T09:03:12+00:00Can you tell me some Absurdism movies?
