Disenchantment

Then it occurred to me that "the goo doesn't give you what you want, it gives you what you deserve" and since Luci threw everything away for Bean (losing his wings and immortality) the goo restored him to his former glory.

Maybe it was obvious to everyone from the start, or maybe someone pointed it out. Just thought I'd share.

One thing I don’t understand about Mora theory

Okay, so I know there were a lot of theories about whether or not Bean dreamed up the whole Mora thing when she hits her head in P3 E6, but later we find out it might not have been a dream when Mora ends up saving her from the sea trøgs? But here’s the thing, if it wasn’t a dream then it still wouldn’t have made sense, because bean hits her head it’s day time, and we see Elfo run off to get help. But then she wakes up to see Mora beckoning her into the sea, keep in mind it’s still daytime. She leaves with Mora and goes to mermaid island, and they seem to spend at least a couple hours there until it turns night, and bean seemed to have fallen asleep but when she wakes up she’s back on the beach and it’s daytime again? Elfo comes back but he seems to only had been gone a few minutes because think about it, if he was gone an entire night and came back the next day he would’ve mentioned being gone for so long. So it doesn’t make sense, do you guys think it was a dream? Because in the later episode Mora saves Bean and gives her the necklace back, and even in the end of P3 E6 we see the necklace wash up on shore too, indicating that it was real, but if it was real the timeline doesn’t make sense at all with Elfo leaving to get help. So what do you think it could be that would make sense?

Bean Not Dagmar's "Baby"

I love Disenchantment so much that this is MY VERY FIRST POST on any reddit account ever! After lurking for like 16 years, I joined. And I messed up my user name, so that's just how it is, I guess...

Anyway,

I think Bean is not fully human. I think she was not Dagmar and Zog's 'baby,' but instead was created by some spell from Dagmar. In this scenario, I don't think Zog would know. I think Dagmar owed a debt to hell to give her 1st born, so she created Bean by enchanting something. Hence the show's name, "Disenchantment." I think Dagmar never wanted to love Bean because she always knew Bean would be sacrificed, but she did grow to love Bean as she raised her as a child; and think Dagmar resents that. I think Bean was enchanted from something very small. When we see her 'old room' under the Castle and it has a small bed and such, I think the audience is supposed to assume this was where she fit for a small human child, but it was actually fit for whatever thing Bean is enchanted from (elf? vip/vap thing? trog? )

I think Dreamland's waterfall is a big deal. In an ep about Oona's homeland where the 'hillbilly' creatures mention a 'truce' and something about the direction of the water changing.... How does the river effect the alliances and power? I don't know! I think it will come into play with Oona returning and kicking ass as a river pirate.

I think Zog has some connection to the Troggs. In the book of Kings, all the "og"s have that cool 'o' with the cross through it. The Troggs share that spelling convention and one clearly says, "Dad?" when Zog first appears in the underworld of the castle. How are they related? No idea. Why does Dagmar eat their brains? Also, no idea. I think the Troggs might have analogous people in the upper world -- Trixy and Kissy are really similar, and I think that is purposeful.

What do you think of these ideas? I'd love to know.

How do you think guys think the first episode of part 5 will play out?

I'm thinking Luci might try and save Bean after seeing her get pushed off the belcony, (he flew out the window before Dagmar arrived) not knowing Mora already did that and either Luci will

a.) Luci will meet Mora

b.) Luci will get caught by Dagmar and Satan before he even gets near the water

c.) Luci makes it to the water sees Bean on the shore alone seeming crazy again, because Mora is not to be seen

Also I think Elfo, Miri and Bunty will go hiding worrying about Bean, or Elfo and Miri will try and fight Dagmar (hopefully armed) but fail.

Also Dagmar or Cloyd & Becky might tell Bean the truth about Luci, if that somehow doesn't happen though they I think in a later episode of part 5 Elfo will stumble upon the box he was sent in somehow, see the maruvian symbol on top, try to go ask Bean about but will be stopped by a pretty desperate Luci.

i don't have anything else but I'll make another post if I do make up some theories.

Is anyone else afraid that Netflix will Ax Disenchantment?

I know it has 2 seasons/4 parts right now, but I'm thinking about Inside Job; it had 1 season/2 parts, was often in Netflix's Top 10, was even renewed for a second season, but was suddenly cancelled.

Given that Futurama has been cancelled twice, or thrice now, it makes me wonder about Disenchantment.

A few posts have theorized Dagmar’s reflection in S03E01 doesn’t exist bc Bad Dag has emerged from the mirror world, disposed of, and replaced Good Dag. In S02E08, Zog has a stone statue of he and Dag dismantled, then drops hers into the river. Is Good Dagmar turned to stone, in the moat stream?
