Is there any way to install Nix?

Chimera is a great distro however the lack of software makes it unusable. When I try to install Nix using the official installer it fails when trying to chmod a lib with the error "Not supported"

I've tried the latest live, it worked on. Amd ryzen but i need to start NetworkManager manually but probably the wifi firmware didn't load.. Is possible to do something ?

Chimera looks like something that's really different and I am very interested in trying it. However I would like to know if ditching elogind is planned and, if yes, which would be a tentative time frame for doing this.

It seems that there are applications which rely specifically on Glibc, video games for example. With this project choosing Musl, are there currently any plans for including glibc or gcompat?

Distrobox on Chimera Linux

I really like the idea of Chimera Linux. A simpler init system and userland ( BSD ), MUSL, and the Clang ecosystem. I like the software. I like the licenses. Just being able to get some distance from the GNU/Linux nonsense is nice.

The problem with a young distribution of course is a lack of software, even once the apk package repositories start to appear. There is something to be said for the convenience of a Debian, or Ubuntu, or Arch where every piece of software you can think of is already packaged and easily installable. And developing software that is supposed to run on other systems could be annoying ( due to MUSL vs Glibc for example or the different C / C++ standard libraries or even GCC vs Clang ). One solution that I can see for all of this is distrobox.

Distrobox is basically just Docker but instead of creating an isolated environment, you get a tightly integrated environment that shares the user home directory, the Wayland instance, and the device tree. Like Docker though, you can run a foreign userland over your main system kernel. A quick apt-get install gcc in an Ubuntu 20.04 Distrobox terminal and you can build software with GCC, Glibc, and binutils without having to install any of those on Chimera itself. Or apt-get install visual-studio-code if that is not available on Chimera yet. Got a binary only application from some supplier that only works in RHEL? No problem, a simple Rocky Linux or Oracle Linux Distrobox terminal and it will run on Chimera too.

I do not need Chimera to provide me the whole ecosystem on day one. Even the February ISO images are almost good enough for me to use. Give me Chimera with a working Docker, Wayland, and Clang and Distrobox will give me everything else I need.

Of course, a basic apk repository to keep the system up-to-date would be nice of course. :-)

Where are the build instructions?

According to the website, I can build Chimera from source. How do I do that?

I downloaded and installed one of the ISO images. This worked great but I notice the resulting OS has no C compiler. No GCC was expected but I did not see Clang either. This means I cannot even update components or try porting anything.

Is there a link to build instructions? I am not even sure which repository at Github I should be using.
