Bitcoin superiority: Why you are all wrong

I have seen a lot of arguments here claiming Bitcoin won't work and how Visa is a better payment service. This is obviously wrong to anyone who has attended elementary school.

The name. What sounds cooler Visa or Lightning network? One sounds like something illegals use to sneak into my country. The other sounds like something the Roman god Poseidon rains down upon the poor people.
You cannot hide a Visa card under a birdbath since plastic is biodegradeable.
Community. Have you ever had a friend try to sell you on the virtues of Visa? Have you ever gone to a pot luck with your Visa buddies? Didnt think so.
CEO. Do you know the CEO of Visa? I certainly dont know his name. I assume its a man since no one would hire a female CEO. On the other hand, I know the CEO of Bitcoin is Michael Saylor. All of the crypto leaders are so confident in their products that they are frequently giving interviews. I have yet to see a CEO give as much access as SBF!
Bitcoin is better for the environment. Can you charge a Visa like a battery?
Decentralization. Visa is located in San Francisco. Bitcoin is everywhere and nowhere simultaneously. It could be in the Bahamas with Sam, in Narnia with CZ, or in India with Gerald Cotten.
Immutability. I have muted Visa on several occasions.
Personal Finance. Bitcoin helps people save their money. Who do you think will blow all of their money, person A who can go on Amazon, where their Visa is saved, and click buy, or person B who has to break out their treasure map and pirate costume and start digging up their yard any time they want to make a purchase? The costume might not be necessary, but it always helps get me in the right frame of mind.
Technology. Blockchain is state of the art and Bitcoin is still brand new at 14 years old! People who use Visa, and frequent this sub, probably prefer carrier pigeons over the internet.

I could spend all day talking to you about the benefits of bitcoin, but I will save that for my coworkers.

Ouch: Barclays Bank in the UK notified its customers that transferring money to and from Binance is now prohibited, VISA also seems to have blocked Binance. Binance will not tell its users what banks are affected and has deleted the posts on reddit

Although i had liked the idea of using bitcoin before i found that it was extremely inefficient and susceptible to multiple problems.

when i actually tried spending it online for the first time the place refused BTC payments due to volatility and told me to try again later.
making sure you wrote down the right address is always nerve wracking even while copy and pasting as you never know if you somehow wrote it wrong or copied it wrong.
you don't get confirmation from the seller immediately and if the place you are buying from is sleezy enough they can just say they never got the payment and you have no proof otherwise. The company could also simply create a new wallet for every transaction and cash it out by a third party exchange and by the time you realize you were scammed they could just pretend like that wallet wasn't theirs to begin with.
transferring dollars to an exchange and then converting it to BTC and then sending it to your own wallet is not free and will most likely incur the same or more than regular online transaction in some cases.
when converting USD to bitcoin and then sending it, there is always crypto dust leftover which can't be converted or spent unless there is another transaction that somehow adds up together to make it large enough to be transferrable. This problem happens a lot since a lot of BTC payments are not a whole number.
Paying through a third party crypto service is no different than regular banking other than the added uncertainty, higher transaction costs and lack of availability.

To those asking why i bought using BTC in the first place Newegg had a 10% offer with payments using BTC for a while decided to try paying using BTC for the heck of it. not worth trouble honestly.

The main problem for Bitcoin is that it is deflationary. If a currency is deflationary then people will hoard it and not spend it. That goes against the purpose of a currency.

Deflation is also bad for borrowers. If the money you borrow today will be worth more in the future, then you will avoid borrowing money. That is bad for the credit markets: home mortgages, car loans, business loans, etc.
